Who we are
OUR STORY
SCP was founded in 2016 by Dr. Joseph Urrea D.C. with a simple but powerful idea — that chiropractic care could be done differently. After shadowing other chiropractors early in his career, Dr. Joseph saw an opportunity to build something more: a clinic focused not just on treating pain, but on educating patients and giving them the tools to help themselves.
From the beginning, SCP was built on a self-pay model — no insurance, no restrictions, no compromises on care. One price, full effort, every visit. That philosophy has allowed SCP to treat every patient as an individual, using the right combination of techniques without the limitations that come with insurance-driven care.
What started as a one-doctor practice has grown into a true family operation. Dr. Joseph and Dr. Teresa Urrea D.C.— husband and wife — now work side by side at SCP, bringing a combined passion for patient-centered care that shows up in everything they do. And as the West Houston community continues to grow, so does SCP — with plans to expand and serve even more people across the area.
