Dr. Joseph Urrea
Dr. Joseph Urrea earned his Doctor of Chiropractic at Texas Chiropractic College in 2013. Before that, he received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and later his Masters of Science in Exercise and Health Science from the University of Houston-Clear-Lake. He also received additional training including a Neurosurgery Rotation at St. Joseph's, an Osteopathic Rotation, and a Physical Therapy Rotation (both in Uptown Houston).
Dr. Urrea grew up in Sandia, Texas (30 miles from Corpus Christi) and moved to the greater Houston area in 2010. His passion for athletics and sports started while he was in high school. During his educational career, he interned with world renowned facility EXOS (formerly Athletes Performance). He learned valuable methodologies on how to provide exceptional chiropractic care along with patient centered rehabilitation.
Dr. Urrea enjoys supporting local triathlons, marathons, bike races, endurance competitions, and other races. Recently, he completed his 4th Ironman Triathlon (Ironman Texas 2018 in The Woodlands, TX). Dr. Urrea is happily married to Dr. Teresa Le, who also is a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Dr. TERESA URREA, DC
Dr. Aitam Teresa Urrea earned her Doctor of Chiropractic at Texas Chiropractic College in 2016. Before receiving her license, she received a B.A. in Psychology from University of California-Riverside and also a B.S. in Human Biology from Texas Chiropractic College.
Dr. Urrea was born in Kansas but has lived most of her life in California and Texas. Growing up, she knew she wanted to help others feel better and be able to function at their best potential. After receiving her first chiropractic treatment and feeling relief from pain she experienced for years, she knew that chiropractic was the career path for her.
When Teresa isn't treating patients, she can be found spoiling her three dogs, Ace, Daisy, and Odie. She also loves running, working out, and supporting her husband, Dr. Joseph Urrea!

Lucas Adolph recently earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2020 from Texas Chiropractic College. Prior, he earned his B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science from Frostburg State University in Maryland. While at Texas Chiropractic College, Lucas participated in rotations in neurosurgery and osteopathic medicine while also establishing a rotation within Pasadena Independent School district providing chiropractic care for student athletes within area high schools. You could also find him on the sidelines of football games on Thursday and Friday nights. He has experience in sports performance training and rehab, having done both prior to attending chiropractic school.
Growing up, Lucas played baseball and football through childhood and the latter in college at Frostburg State. When not providing care, he enjoys spending time with Kobe his cat, and Gryffin and Kinglsey, his dogs. He enjoys working out, playing recreational sports, and finding the best eats in Houston.

Ashley Shelor is the Brand Manager at Sports Chiropractic Performance. In 2011, she received her Bachelors of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Advertising from the University of Texas. She has experience in the sports industry specializing in social media, event planning, management, and email marketing. In 2017, she continued her education by receiving a Digital Marketing Certification through the University of Houston.
Growing up in Sugar Land, Texas, Ashley developed a love for sports at an early age. She played basketball throughout middle school and high school and remained active through college doing intramural sports and ultimate frisbee. She fell in love with the sport of ultimate frisbee and continues to play now for a club women's team based in Austin, Texas -- Texas Showdown. She also is going into her sixth year coaching the Rice women's ultimate frisbee club team, Torque.

Yes, we treat children of all ages. We do require a parent or legal guardian to provide consent to treat.
What typical happens during the initial evaluation? Follow-up visits?
Initial evaluations usually range from 35-40 minutes. The chiropractor will perform an exam to evaluate the condition and determine a proper treatment plan. Visits can include any of the following treatment options:

How much are visits?
